Rats eat Babyt Penguins

Rats eat baby penguins and penguin eggs.  To answer your question.  I got this information from the article: Comaprison of population numbers of yello-eyed penguins, Megadyptes antipodes, on Steward Island and on adgacent cat-free islands, by Melanie Massaro and David Blair, and the artical Ble Penquin (Eudyptula minor) nest distribution and breading success on Otago Peninsula, 1992 to 1998 by Lyndon Perriman and Harald Steen.

Thank you for sending me all the great comments.

2 - Looks like you did some excellent research. I have a question. Where is Steward Island? Also, where is Otago Peninsula? I can't even imagine a rat being in the same environment with a penguin, it seems like it might be so cold for them. Very very interesting!

3 - You did some excellent research. Where is Stewart Island? Where is Otago Peninsula? I am surprised that rats can live in the same environment as Penguins because I did not think they could survive in cold temperatures like Penguins can. I guess rats can adapt pretty well? Did you see March of the Penguin? What did you think about it? Keep up the great work! (Comment this)
