Intersting Facts about Penguins

King Penguins:

Amazingly to my surprise I found out that penguins glow in the dark.

I also found out this about the King Penguin.  They are neat.

Did you know the King Penguin is the second-largest penguin in the world.  P.S.  The largest penguin is the Emperor Penguin.

These interesting fats about the penguins I found at a different site.  But I hope you enjoy them.  “They can dive up 300 m (985 ft.) and swim as fast as 10 km/h (6 mph).”

Penguins have specially adapted eyesight.  Their pupils shrink to the size of a pinhole.

Hope you enjoyed these interesting facts.

You can find King Penguins in Antarctica and the Falkland Islands.  There groups are as large as 600,000 birds.  Each family has it’s own space.  They prefer beaches or flat and rocky areas.
